Proof-of-Diversity (PoD)

Proof-of-Diversity is the rule that any decision affecting large populations or subjective Merit awards must be validated by a panel meeting diversity thresholds across culture, cognition, and socioeconomic background. It prevents homogeneous groups from unilaterally approving policies, mirroring Byzantine fault tolerance in social systems.

Phase Zero pilots require, for example, five distinct cultural backgrounds and multiple cognitive styles before Free Zone policies activate. PoD also protects the Cognitive Field from converging on a single mental architecture and keeps the Merit economy fair to non-quantifiable contributions.

The concept extends blockchain-inspired “proof” mechanisms into governance, substituting diversity for computational work as the scarcity resource that secures legitimacy.
