What motivates people if money is obsolete?
Chapter 1 proposes a transition from scarcity economics to a Mission Credit system. But without the threat of poverty or the lure of wealth, what drives ambition? Is ‘purpose’ enough for the average person?

Unscarcity suggests that while 95% of life (survival) is abundant, the Frontier (the 5%) remains scarce. Mission Credits govern access to these frontiers (e.g., space travel, advanced biotech). Ambition shifts from ‘accumulating safety’ to ’earning access’. Furthermore, the ‘Reputation-Indexed Dividend’ rewards creativity and risk, ensuring the entrepreneurial spark survives. We don’t stop working; we stop working to survive.
